Peel and cube potatoes. Bring to boil in salted water, then boil for 20-25 minutes. Drain and let cool a bit. In the meantime, fry up the onions and reserve.
Heat oil in a pot, add garlic and chillies. Fry for 1 minute, then add spices and fry for 30 seconds more. Add potatoes and mash. Add onion and coriander and mix well.
Heat oven to 180 °C. Form small patties from the mixture and place on a baking tray covered with parchment paper. Brush patties with a small amount of olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip patties and brush with oil again. Bake for 20 minutes more.
