Wash rice well, cook and let it steam off. The goal is to have rice that's not overcooked and is not sticking together. Ideally use rice that's a day old.
Fry onion until nicely browned. Add garlic, fry until soft. Reserve.
Fry carrots and pepper until soft. Add tempeh, tofu, corn and the reserved onions with garlic. Mix well. Add rice, turmeric and salt. Mix well, adjust seasoning.
Serve topped finely sliced green onions and/or fried onions.
